Inspiration

This artwork is a joyful reinterpretation of my original Celestial Elephant painting, reimagined through a new and vibrant colour palette. It continues my celebration of the beauty, grace, and deep symbolism of elephants within Indian culture. Drawing on the rich decorative traditions of Indian folk art, I’ve combined intricate pattern, bold colour, and symmetry with my own contemporary style to create a piece that feels both uplifting and timeless.

My fascination with elephants comes from their gentle spirit, intelligence, and quiet strength. Seeing these magnificent animals up close during a trip to Kenya left a lasting impression on me, and that sense of awe and reverence continues to shape my work.

This print features the same elegant elephant motif as the other Celestial Elephant print, reworked in a fresh and expressive colourway. Deep yellow and orange tones, rich blues, and vibrant floral accents are framed by bold outlines and decorative detailing, creating a strong sense of balance and regal presence. Inspired by traditional Indian symbolism, the artwork evokes themes of good fortune, spirituality, and harmony, while maintaining a modern, graphic sensibility.

A fine art giclée print on high quality platinum etching 285gsm paper. Each piece has been carefully profiled to ensure the prints are as accurate to the originals as possible. With care these prints will be long lasting. 

Please note: prints sized A5 will come in a flat envelope. All other sizes will be carefully wrapped in tissue paper and rolled in a cardboard postal tube. Due to the heavyweight quality paper, the rolled prints will need to be left on a flat surface to naturally flatten.
