Nestled in the heart of my little village, the houses each tell their own story—built from stones of varying hues, with grand windows that seem to invite the world inside. I’ve always been drawn to the intricate patterns hidden within the stonework, where every line and curve forms a unique, almost accidental masterpiece. One house, in particular, caught my eye—a strikingly modern door painted in a bold, vibrant colour, framed in the windows by sleek contemporary blinds. This unexpected contrast against the timeworn stone created a fascinating juxtaposition of old and new, sparking the inspiration behind this painting.
