Inspiration

The inspiration behind this design comes from the arrival of Spring in England — that magical moment when muted winter tones give way to vibrant colour. I’m drawn to the cheerful wildflowers that begin to bloom, filling fields and hedgerows with life, and to the gentle reappearance of insects emerging from winter’s stillness. For me, this work is a tribute to the beauty of seasonal change and the uplifting sense of hope that Spring brings each year.

Description

This artwork is a vibrant, contemporary celebration of the “great miniature migration” that unfolds each year as nature awakens. Set against a bold, sun-drenched yellow backdrop, it captures the joyful arrival of brilliantly coloured insects in striking, graphic detail. Butterflies, bumblebees, beetles, and ladybirds gather among golden wildflowers, framed by the delicate silhouettes of ferns, foxgloves, and forget-me-nots. The richly saturated yellow canvas acts as a permanent sunbeam — radiating warmth, light, and optimism into any space.

Perfect for the nature lover, the garden enthusiast, or anyone drawn to uplifting colour and modern botanical design, this piece brings a sense of energy and seasonal joy to contemporary interiors. It is especially suited to those who appreciate the small wonders of the natural world and want their home to feel bright, alive, and full of positive spirit.

A fine art giclée print on high quality platinum etching 285gsm paper. Each piece has been carefully profiled to ensure the prints are as accurate to the originals as possible. With care these prints will be long lasting.

Please note: prints sized A5 will come in a flat envelope. All other sizes will be carefully wrapped in tissue paper and rolled in a cardboard postal tube. Due to the heavyweight quality paper, the rolled prints will need to be left on a flat surface to naturally flatten.
