Inspiration

This painting is one of three in my series "3 Faces of Fortune", a quirky, colourful tribute to the Japanese Lucky Cat (Maneki-neko). Inspired by a small white ceramic lucky cat gifted to me from a family member’s travels in Japan. This trio of cheerful cats reflects my love of travel-inspired art and playful character design. Each painting in the series is painted to welcome good fortune, joy, and a little protective charm into your space—with bright hues, charming faces, and a wink of whimsy to greet you every day.
